Safety at Mingoal
Last updated: April 11, 2026
Mingoal exists so people can find each other in real life — runs in the park, book club nights, founder meetups. That only works when every club feels warm, honest, and safe to walk into. Here's how we try to keep it that way, and how you can help.
Community standards
Every member, organizer, and event host on the platform agrees to treat others with basic respect. That means no harassment, no hate speech, no threats, no doxxing, and no sexually explicit content in public clubs. Organizers are expected to set the tone for their community and take action when something feels off — we give you the tools to remove members, lock events, and ban repeat offenders. Our community guidelines spell out the details.
Reporting something
If you see a club, event, profile, or message that breaks our rules — or that just feels wrong — please tell us. Every club page and member profile has a Report button. You can also email us directly at safety@mingoal.com. Reports are reviewed by a real person, usually within 24 hours. You don't need to be the target of the behavior to report it, and we never share your identity with the person you reported.
Private clubs by default
When you create a club on Mingoal, it's private until you choose to make it public. That means new clubs don't show up in search, attendee lists are hidden from non-members, and joining requires either an invite link or organizer approval. You can flip a club to public any time from the manage screen, and you can flip it back. Members' full names and emails are never shown to other members unless they choose to share them in their profile.
Contact our safety team
For anything urgent — threats, harassment, impersonation, or a report we missed — email safety@mingoal.com. We monitor that inbox seven days a week. If someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services first; we'll do everything we can to support investigations after.
